The new bridge across Lake Barkley officially opened to traffic Monday. The News Edge crew was on hand for this historic event, and shot video of the first ride across the new bridge.
As you would expect, there were many waiting to take a first day ride across the new Lake Barkley bridge when it opened Monday. Among those was Billy Sumner, who said he never expected to see this day. 
An historic day Monday, as traffic was shifted to the new US 68 bridge across Lake Barkley. In tribute to the old bridge, click to take one more ride across the old bridge with us. 
The Chocolate Affair was held at the beautiful Fairholme. The chocolate was in abundance and everyone was dressed for the occasion.
Prior to Saturday night's basketball game between Hopkinsville and Christian County, the Hopkinsville High School step team took to the floor for a performance that left the crowd roaring. 
Six years after the crime took place, Jared Tabor Long admitted to the February 2012 murder of Fort Campbell soldier Vincent Goslyn on Fidelio Road in Christian County. Click for the video.
