Rape And Sodomy Charges Filed Against Hopkinsville Man

A Hopkinsville man is facing numerous charges, including rape, after an incident Friday night at a North Main Street motel. Hopkinsville Police were called to the Fairview Inn early Saturday morning, where a woman told officers she met the suspect for drinks, but when she decided it was getting late and went to her car, he came after her and grabbed a gun, forcing her back inside.

The man reportedly barricaded the door with the mini-fridge and backed her into a corner. The report says he hit her with the gun and told her to take off her clothes. Police arrested the man just before 7am Saturday for 1st Degree Rape, 1st Degree Sodomy, 1st Degree Unlawful Imprisonment, and 2nd Degree Assault.
