Potato Chip Distraction Leads To Saturday Crash

A little snack break may have played a role in a single vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on East 2nd Street. Hopkinsville Police say 49-year old Trina Brison was eastbound, near the railroad tracks, when she became distracted by her passenger offering her some potato chips.

Her vehicle hit a steel beam on the side of the road, designed to protect the railroad lights. A passenger, 30-year old Jessica Brison was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and hit the dashboard. Brison was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
