Defense Seeking To Remove Pryor From Damber Case

The defense plans to file a motion asking the Commonwealth Attorney to be removed from a sexual assault case involving a former Hopkinsville Police officer. Ian Damber was arrested in August on five counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault. His attorney Kenneth Root told Christian Circuit Judge Andrew Self Wednesday there is a conflict.

Assistant Commonwealth'’s Attorney, Maggie Gigandet says they will review the matter.

Judge Self says if Pryor decides not to oppose the motion, she can go ahead with requesting a special prosecutor.
