Johnson, Choate Take Second at Calloway Fishing Tourney

Trigg County anglers Chad Johnson and Dalton Choate finished second at the Calloway County Bass Fishing Tournament Saturday on Kentucky Lake, helping Trigg to a second place team finish. Johnson and Choate caught five bass weighing 20.55 pounds.  Johnson also had the big bass of the tournament with a fish weighing 6.97 pounds.

Trigg’s duo of Cade Bleidt and Daniel Reddick finished sixth with a total catch of 14.02.  Andrew Greene and Robert Deason finished 16th with two bass weighing 6.52 pounds.

Christian County had two teams finish in the top 13.  Brandon Boyd and Kenton Lancaster caught five fish weighing 10.27 pounds to finish ninth.

Dakota Oglesby caught three bass weighing 6.71 pounds to finish 13th.

Calloway County had two of the top three teams to take the team title.  Christian Bobo and Myles McManus took first place with five bass weighing 22.75 pounds.  Cole Emerson and Zach Martin were third with 16.21 pounds of fish.

There were 81 boats that took part in the event.
