The winner of the Todd County Democratic County Judge Executive Primary will fill the remainder of Judge Daryl Greenfield’s term. According to Todd County Standard Publisher Ryan Craig, Todd Mansfield will be officially appointed Todd County Judge Executive.
The announcement was made Wednesday morning during a special-called Todd County Fiscal Court meeting. Mansfield will be sworn in sometime in the following days a ceremony.
Magistrate Jimmy Turner has served as the Interim Judge-Executive since Daryl Greensfield resigned from his position on March 23. Mansfield will fill out the remainder of Greenfield’s term before officially starting his term in January.
Todd County Standard Publisher Ryan Craig says Mansfield’s appointment comes early enough to allow a smooth transition into the new fiscal year.
Mansfield won the Democratic primary by defeating former County Judge Executive Kent Knight by taking nearly 82 percent of the vote. He has no opposition in the November General Election.
