A Hopkinsville man already in jail on other offenses is facing additional charges after police say he admitted to a burglary on Dawson Springs Road and a theft from Sheena Avenue. According to Hopkinsville Police, 24-year old Austin Jones admitted during an interview that he entered 1820 Dawson Springs Road while armed with a pistol and confirmed the item he stole, which is not listed on the report. In addition, Jones allegedly admitted to stealing a car dolly from 2012 Sheena Avenue on May 12. Police indicate the car dolly has not been recovered.
Jones was charged with 1st Degree Burglary and Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500 but Under $10,000. He is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
