Some Slick Spots Remain On Area Roads

Roads were mostly clear around the area Monday but there are still some black ice and patchy areas of packed ice and snow covering portions of some highways.

Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Randy Clark has been out on the roads in the county Monday morning and reports there are several slick spots. He responded to a single-vehicle wreck shortly after 10:30 Monday morning on New Hope Road where a van hit a slick spot, slid off the road and overturned. There were no injuries reported.

Motorists should use caution when traveling on roads around the area Monday and overnight as some wet spots could refreeze with the temperature not climbing above 32 degrees Monday night.
