Grand Jury Returns Indictments For Sexual Abuse, Assault, Robbery

Isaiah Frazier

The Christian County Grand Jury returned several indictments Friday, including individuals charged with sexual abuse, assault, burglary, and wanton endangerment.

24-year old Isaiah Frazier of Hopkinsville was indicted on a direct submission to the grand jury for first-degree sexual abuse – victim under 12 years of age, first-degree sodomy – victim under 12 years of age, distributing obscene material to minors, and third-degree terroristic threatening. Police have not released any details other than the alleged offenses occurred on December 22, 2018. Frazier was arrested on a warrant by Hopkinsville Police Friday evening in the 1500 block of East 1st Street and lodged in the Christian County Jail under a $10,000 cash bond.

DeAnthony Buckner

The grand jury indicted 26-year old DeAnthony Buckner of Hopkinsville on a charge of first-degree sexual abuse in connection to an incident at his home when he allegedly climbed into bed with a 15-year old female during October 13 through October 14, 2018.

Nicholas Beasley

The grand jury indicted 28-year old Nicholas Beasley of Hopkinsville on multiple charges including first degree attempted assault of a police officer, firsts degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, and trafficking meth and marijuana. During a traffic stop on January 6, Hopkinsville Police reported Beasley tried to hit an officer on North McPherson Avenue and then fled the scene and tossed meth and marijuana at police vehicles during the pursuit. Beasley was arrested after police used spike strips to stop his vehicle. Police allegedly found more meth and marijuana in his vehicle.

20-year old Tequan Marques Owen and 19-year old Juandez Bussell, both of Hopkinsville, were indicted on charges of first degree attempted robbery and first-degree burglary in connection to an alleged attempted robbery at a Greenville Road residence on September 30, 2017, where one victim was shot in the leg. Hopkinsville Police reported a shell casing found at the scene was identified as having been fired from the same gun used in the robbery of Circle K on October 3, 2017.

Michael Mimms

And 42-year old Michael Joseph Mimms of Guthrie was indicted on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces. The charges stem from December 15, 2018, when officers responded to a shots fired call on Vine Street in Hopkinsville and reportedly saw Mimms leaving the area at a high rate of speed and made a traffic stop. Police said they observed Mimms bend down and place something directly underneath the vehicle when he got out. Officers reportedly found a plastic bag with 14 individually wrapped baggies containing marijuana.
