Motorists who travel Kentucky 115, the Oak Grove-Pembroke Road, may want to find an alternate route for the next two months as highway crews make repairs to the road.

Beginning Monday, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials say daytime work zone lane restrictions will be between Interstate 24 and US 41 in Pembroke to allow base repair work for maintenance patching at a later date.

The Christian County Highway Maintenance Crew will be digging out and repacking areas in need of repair along the 8.2 mile section of KY 115.

Officials say motorists should be aware that some delays are possible while crews are moving and positioning equipment to facilitate repairs. Once the base areas are repacked, traffic will be allowed to run on the repaired areas for about a week or more to allow them to settle before they are paved over.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic controlled by flaggers during daylight hours.
