Hopkinsville Man And Woman Charged With Possession Of Meth

A Hopkinsville man and woman were charged with possession of methamphetamine on East 18th Street Friday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to 1018 East 18th Street around 4 p.m. for a possible burglary and found 37-year-old Steven Combs hiding in a closet in the home and 32-year-old Emerald Forgette passed out on a couch.

Multiple syringes were found around Forgette along with a syringe that was loaded with an unknown substance.

Forgette allegedly told police that she shot up methamphetamine.

When a full body scan was done at the Christian County Jail Combs was found to have methamphetamine in a small plastic bag in his pocket.

Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine. Combs was also charged with promoting contraband.

Combs also had outstanding warrants for contempt of court and second-degree escape. Forgette had two warrants for probation violation.

They are both lodged in the Christian County Jail.
