Flooded Roadways Cause Two Christian County Wrecks

Two vehicles were overcome by flood waters in Christian County Sunday morning.

Christian County Deputies say just before 5 a.m. a van was overcome after the driver ran into high water on Hopkins Park Road.  The driver called for help.

Meanwhile, two Dawsons Springs women went to help the man.  As they traveled east on Collins Bridge Road,  3 miles from Dawson Springs Road, they entered thick fog and ran into high water covering the road.  Their vehicle was swept away by the water.

The car was completely submerged but both women were able to get out and go to a nearby home.  The driver and passenger of the car, and the driver of the van were not injured in the wrecks.

Emergency personnel are also reporting high water over the road on Terry Coal Road.
