Pennyroyal Arts Council Awarded Big Read Grant

The Pennyroyal Arts Council has received some exciting news. The organization has been awarded a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grant to host the Big Read in Hopkinsville.

Executive Director Margaret Prim says the sixth year they have applied and received the NEA Big Read grant.

In addition, Prim notes they are enthusiastic about the book chosen for the NEA Big Read in Christian County later this year.

Since 2006, the National Endowment for the Arts has funded more than 14-hundred NEA Big Read programs, providing more than $20 million to organizations across the nation.

The mission of the Pennyroyal Arts Council, established in 1977, is to encourage, develop, and promote the appreciation of the Arts through: education, support, service, and presentation.
