NWS Saying Tornado Caused Damage In Trigg County Friday Night

The National Weather Service in Paducah is saying that an EF-1 tornado caused some damage southeast of Cadiz Friday night.

Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rick Shanklin confirms to the News Edge that the storm damage path started along King’s Chapel Road and Old Highway 68 in Trigg County.

When asked if this tornado was also the same one that caused damage along Pierce Lane and Striped Bridge Road in Christian County, he notes they are continuing to look into that.

The worst damage from the storm seemed to have occurred on and near Oliver Road, where at least two homes suffered structural damage and several others suffered other property damage.

This storm makes the second EF-1 tornado that touched down in Trigg County in the last seven months. The first one damaged homes on Blue River Road in the Rockcastle area on December 31, 2018.
