Marion Woman Killed When Truck Hits Her House

Kentucky State Police say a Marion woman was killed Saturday night when a truck crashed into her house.

Trooper Rob Austin says the crash occurred around 7:15 Saturday night when a truck driven by 43-year-old Christopher Hill of Marion failed to stop at the intersection of Guess Road and Old Shady Grove Road. Hill’s truck ran through the front yard and into the home of 72-year-old Mary Bass. Ms. Bass was sitting in a chair in the living room when Hill’s vehicle ran through the wall and struck her.

Bass was pronounced dead at the scene by a representative of the Crittenden County Coroner’s office. Hill refused treatment for possible injuries.

Kentucky State Trooper Jacob Stephens is continuing to investigate the crash. No charges have been filed in the case.
