Trigg County Students kicked off the 2019-20 school year in grand fashion as they were welcomed back to class by teachers and staff Wednesday morning.

Trigg County Schools Director of Students and Personnel James Mangles says 399 students were in attendance Wednesday at the Primary School, with 415 students enrolled in the Intermediate School, 451 students in the Middle School and 614 students in the High School.  Mangles says total first day attendance of 1885 is down by 24 students compared to 2018.  He adds the only school to show growth so far this year is Trigg County High School, which is up from 598 students in 2018.
