Auburn Woman Charged With Trafficking Drugs In Hopkinsville

An Auburn woman was charged with trafficking drugs and wanton endangerment after a traffic stop on Walnut Street Monday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies say 47-year-old Joseph Goodin of Auburn was stopped on Walnut Street for a broken tail light and during the stop, Goodin and his passenger 34-year-old Jennifer Owens gave consent for deputies to search the vehicle.

A black purse was reportedly found to have meth inside.

After deputies arrested Owens she allegedly tried to hide marijuana in her pants and tried to hide it in the back of the sheriff’s deputies vehicle.

Owens was searched at the jail and reportedly found to have a needle along with methamphetamine on her. She is charged with first-degree trafficking meth, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence and second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
