Christian County Farm Bureau Thanks Legislators

Christian County Farm Bureau is saying thank you to local, area and state legislators for their work on behalf of agriculture and rural Kentucky.

State Farm Bureau First Vice President Eddie Melton thanked lawmakers for being willing to make the sacrifice to serve in public office.

State Farm Bureau Board member Mary Kate Kordis from McClean County also expressed thanks to the legislators and the partnerships they have with local farm members and the state organization.

Also during the dinner, Christian County Farm Bureau President Kent Boyd presented Ag In The Classroom mini grant to four teachers representing three classrooms.

Millbrook Elementary Teacher Tara Moore
and Kim Batts and Sherry Holloway with Cumberland Hall School.

During the evening State Representatives Myron Dossett and Walker Thomas, State Senator Whitney Westerfield and a number of local legislators spoke briefly about state and local issues.Christian County Farm Bureau Insurance Agency Managers Gary Keaton and Ashtyn Hudson talked about storm damage in later October and the Farm Bureau claim response.
