The Christian County Agribusiness Association heard from the Pennyroyal Farm Analysis team during their monthly meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
Michael Forsythe and Kayla Brashears with Pennyroyal Farm Analysis spoke on area farm developments and trends throughout the community. Forsythe notes the 2018 Pennyrile net farm income was better than any previous year.
Brashears highlights the best observations of 2019 so far, saying they are finding diversification to be increasing as well as growing opportunities for expansion.
She also notes more unfavorable observations, such as storm damage and more farmers exiting the industry.
In other business, David Wayne was introduced FSA County Executive Director for Christian and Trigg counties.
