With Christmas over a month away, preparations are being made for the annual parade in Cadiz.
Trigg County Chamber of Commerce Director Connie Allen says the parade will take place Saturday evening, December 7 at 6:00. Allen adds registration forms are being accepted now.
Parade entry fees will be donated to the Trigg County Toys for Tots organization, with entries being accepted through Thursday afternoon, December 5.
Allen notes there are cash prizes that will be given out to the best parade floats.
The theme for the Pennyrile Electric – Trigg County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is “Lighting Up Christmas.”
The parade route starts at Trigg County Public Schools and follows along Main Street in downtown Cadiz.
The afternoon of the parade there will be several events occurring including a Festival of Trees at the Janice Mason Art Museum and the sixth annual Mrs. Santas Cookie and Candy Bazaar at the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex.
