Caldwell School Superintendent Responds To Second School Threat Of The Week

An 18-year-old Princeton resident has been arrested after allegedly making threats toward the Caldwell County School System Wednesday afternoon.

School Superintendent Nate Huggins tells the News Edge school officials learned of the threat before 3:00.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King reports witnesses told officers they heard 18-year old Jacob A. Hall say that he had been profiled as a school shooter for 18 years and wasn’t playing when he said he would do it.

Chief King reports that officers then located Hall at his residence and took him to the Princeton Police Department for questioning. Hall was later arrested and charged with second-degree terroristic threatening and was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.

Huggins notes that both students who made threats this week will not be allowed back into the school district, anytime soon.

He adds they actively look into any threat that is made toward the school district.

Huggins thanks all of the Caldwell County High School administration who worked quickly to take care of the issues.

The first threat this week came Monday night just before 7:30 when a 15-year old juvenile made a non-specific threat of a school shooting in an online game. Chief King adds officers and detectives began investigating immediately and the juvenile was lodged in the McCracken Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
