More than 30 lighted entries helped make the Pennyrile Electric Trigg County Chamber Christmas Parade one of the largest in recent years.
The parade included a variety of brightly lit trucks, cars, tow trucks, tractor-trailers, fire trucks, golf carts, and emergency vehicles. The Trigg County Wildcat and Middle School bands provide holiday music as they marched along the parade route.
Rogers Group won first place in the float division with their “Maybe Christmas Means A Little Bit More” entry.
The Cadiz Record took second with their float that featured a newspaper tree. Third place went to Girl Scout Troop 1078 “Cookie Express” float. Trigg County FFA won the award for the top use of the theme “Lighting Up Christmas”. And the Trigg-Lyon Fire Department won best use of lights.
The parade was led by Grand Marshall George Radford.
Radford said it was a wonderful experience to be Grand Marshall.
The Pennyrile Electric Trigg County Chamber included 34 entries. Chamber Director Connie Allen said it was one of the largest parades in recent history.
