Pennyroyal Area Museum To Reopen In Late February

An area museum that has been closed for around a year will re-open to the public early this year.

Alissa Keller, Executive Director of the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County tells the News Edge the Pennyroyal Area Museum will open to the public Thursday, February 27.

She adds the opening date has a special history for the 105-year old building.

While the remaining renovations continue, the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum will be closed to the public.

Keller adds donors to their Capital Campaign, going on now, will have a chance to see the museum before the public grand opening.

She says it is very easy to contribute to their Capital Campaign.

The Pennyroyal Area Museum is located at 217 East 9th Street in historic Hopkinsville.
