HCC Hosting Annual MLK, Jr. Celebration Tuesday Afternoon

Hopkinsville Community College will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a special celebration Tuesday afternoon.

The school reports its annual MLK Jr. Celebration will begin at noon in the Thomas L. Riley Lecture Hall in the Auditorium Building. Pastor William E. Ferrell will present the “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Christian Pastor – A Glimpse, of his Life and Spiritual Calling that Fueled His Social Ministry.”

School officials add Ferrell has been an ordained Pastor for over 30 years serving in California, Florida, and Tennessee and is also completing a Human Services major at the college. He currently serves as an Associate Minister at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Cadiz and is employed as a second shift supervisor and Wyndham Garden in Hopkinsville. Ferrell is also a disabled Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of the Howe-Finley #160 Masonic Lodge.
