Governor Andy Beshear recently appointed several area residents to state boards and commissions.
Michael McGhee of Elkton was appointed to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 6th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky. McGhee is a civil engineer at McGhee Engineering and will serve a term expiring January 1, 2024.
Governor Beshear appointed John Wilson and Sammy Pittman, both of Murray, James Draffen, Jr. of Calvert City, and LeAnne Lynch of Benton to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 42nd Judicial Circuit of Kentucky. Wilson and Draffen will serve a term expiring January 1, 2022. Lynch and Pittman will serve until January 1, 2024.
Hopkins County Schools Superintendent Deanna Ashby of Hanson, Marci Cox and Andrew Belcher, both of Madisonville, and Beshear Funeral Home Director Jerry Lynn Sewell of Dawson Springs were appointed as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 4th Judicial Circuit and District of Kentucky. Ashby and Cox will serve until January 1, 2022 and Belcher and Sewell will serve a term expiring January 1, 2024.
