Interstate 24 Concrete Repairs Get Underway

Motorists traveling Interstate 24 in Christian County need to be prepared for some delays now that state road crews have started making concrete repairs.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2 spokeswoman Keirsten Jaggers says the pavement repairs on I-24 will occur the next four weeks on the eastbound lanes between Pennyrile Parkway and the Kentucky-Tennessee state line from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. She says motorists can expect delays while the work is performed as well as after the concrete patch is applied. She notes closures will have to remain in place until the concrete cures.

Motorists should be alert for one-lane traffic with alternate flow controlled by flaggers. Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and other personnel are working close to traffic.
