Renovated Hopkinsville Museum To Offer More Interactive Exhibits

There will be several exhibits on display when the newly renovated Pennyroyal Area Museum reopens to the public later this month.

Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County Executive Director Alissa Keller spoke to magistrates at the Christian County Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday and said they are excited to be able to give the community a renewed museum. She noted the museum will offer twelve new sections of exhibits, one of which is a section on the Pennyroyal plateau.

She said the museum is set to open Thursday, February 27 with a ribbon-cutting at 3:00 on the front steps, and then they will move inside for some comments and the reading of a proclamation. Keller noted a preview party will be held Friday evening, February 21st, for those who have donated to the renovation campaign.

The Pennyroyal Area Museum is located 217 East 9th Street in downtown Hopkinsville.
