Pennyrile District Health Director Urges Reasonable Caution

Pennyrile District Health Department Director Jim Tolley is cautioning the public against panicking over the Coronavirus Pandemic that is impacting the United States and the world.

Tolley, who was among officials involved in a Trigg County Emergency Management planning meeting this week., said it is just a matter of time before Coronavirus cases are confirmed in this region.

Tuesday afternoon Governor Andy Beshear confirmed the first Western Kentucky case in Lyon County.

Tolley says officials in the Pennyrile Health District are getting prepared to deal with COVID-19.

He adds people also need to pay close attention to the guidelines that are being issued daily by the Governor and other state health officials.
