A Hopkinsville High School senior has accepted an appointment to the United States Military Academy Preparatory School (USMAPS).
According to information released by the Christian County Public School District Tuesday, Denarius “Red” Barnes will attend the school in West Point, New York. They add the mission of USMAPS is to provide academic, military, and physical instruction for admission to and graduation from the United States Military Academy.
USMAPS Director of Admissions, Colonel Deborah J. McDonald says only outstanding candidates are offered a chance to attend the prep school.
