Governor Beshear Orders Flags Lowered To Half-Staff Monday

Governor Andy Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is a holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning those members of our nation’s armed forces who died while in service. The U.S. Flag Code states that flags on Memorial Day should be displayed at half-staff until noon Monday and then raised to the top of the staff.

Flags at all state office buildings are currently flying at half-staff in honor of Kentucky’s victims of COVID-19 and will remain in place until noon Monday.
