Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Meth Trafficking

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with trafficking meth after a traffic stop on Walnut Street Wednesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 39-year-old Angela Garcia was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by police and was found to have an active warrant during the stop. A police K9 reportedly alerted on the vehicle and meth along with other drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.

Garcia allegedly told police she had swallowed over two grams of meth and she was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to be checked out.

Garcia is charged with trafficking meth and tampering with physical evidence. She was also arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
