In an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19, officials at Fort Campbell have enacted a mask mandate. The order was handed down Friday night.
According to a post on the installation’s Twitter account, the mandate requires that all personnel adhere to “mandatory mask wear” inside all facilities at Fort Campbell.
The statement notes that personnel may temporarily remove their masks to consume food and beverage in dining facilities and food courts. Masks may also be removed when alone in a room or individual work space. Also, masks are not required while conducting physical training inside the post’s physical fitness centers.
Officials note that personnel not in compliance with the order may be asked to vacate any facility at Fort Campbell.
The order was effective immediately.
