Todd County Reports 8 New Positive COVID Cases Wednesday

Todd County’s active coronavirus cases continue to climb after the health department reported eight positive cases were confirmed Wednesday, five of which were at a long-term care facility.

According to Director Jen Harris, the five COVID-19 cases at Hearthstone Long Term Care have underlying health conditions and no new contacts have been quarantined.

Harris says the other three cases also involve adults. She says the 76th case is a healthy adult who is connected to other cases and has no symptoms.

The 77th case is an adult with underlying health issues with no symptoms, who is also connected to other cases.

The 78th case is also an adult with underlying health issues with mild symptoms, who is not connected to any other cases.

Harris says the three adults are all isolated at home and contacts have been notified by the health department to quarantine for 14 days.

Of the 78 cases, 22 are active and 56 have recovered.
