Kentucky Adds More Than 800 COVID Cases Over Weekend

Kentucky added nearly 600 cases of COVID-19 Saturday, with more than 200 new cases reported on Sunday afternoon.

According to Governor Andy Beshear there were 275 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday afternoon, with 599 new cases reported on Saturday. The state positivity rate inched up to 3.48 percent Sunday. The state reported three new COVID deaths Saturday, with 4 new deaths on Sunday. In addition the state audit increased the number of deaths by 14. The statewide death toll rose to 6,338.

As of Sunday afternoon there were 394 people hospitalized, with 98 currently in the intensive care, and 46 on a ventilator.
