Pennyrile Electric crews have restored power to the Canton area of Trigg County after Tuesday morning’s round of severe weather.
Spokesman Brent Gilkey tells the News Edge power was restored around 9:00 a.m., after being out for over four hours. He adds a three-phase line was knocked down and contributed to the outage and says no power poles were broken in the Canton area.
Pennyrile Electric fared better than their colleagues at West Kentucky Rural Electric, which serves portions of Calloway, Carlisle, Hickman, Graves, and Marshall counties, and had at the height of the outages over 13,000 customers without power.
