Christian County Grand Jury Returns Indictments With

Among indictments returned Friday by the Christian County Grand Jury, two were for Hopkinsville men facing charges of strangulation.

Alprestonia Butler

44-year-old Alprestonia Butler of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. The charges come from a May 31 incident where Hopkinsville Police said he choked a woman and assaulted her at a home on Bryan Street.

Mark Bardwell

50-year-old Mark Bardwell of Hopkinsville was indicted on a charge of second-degree strangulation and third-degree terroristic threatening. The charges come following an incident on June 16.

Whitley Harrison

26-year-old Whitley Harrison of Oak Grove was indicted on charges of first-degree assault – domestic violence and first-degree fleeing or evading police. The charges came from Oak Grove Police following a June 25 incident where Harrison assaulted a woman by hitting her with a gun. He reportedly fled from law enforcement but was located the next day at the Mapco on Pembroke Oak Grove Road and arrested.

John Oliver

26-year-old John Oliver of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of knowingly receiving stolen property over $10,000 and giving an officer false identifying information. The indictment stated the charges came from an incident around July 2. Oliver kept a 2019 Ford F-150, knowing it had been stolen and later giving a false name when talking with authorities.

Casey Adcock

And 41-year-old Casey Adcock, of Dawson Springs, was indicted on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, tampering with physical evidence, receiving stolen property, and second-degree criminal trespassing.

The charges stem from a June 6 incident where Christian County Sheriff’s deputies said Adcock was attempting to take items from a building on Grapevine road when the owner confronted him. They got into a physical altercation. Adcock reportedly damaged a fence and was found to have a syringe and burglary tools along with stolen items on his trailer.
