Boil Water Advisory Issued For Portion Of Trigg County

The Barkley Lake Water District has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the northeastern portion of Trigg County.

Officials say the advisory is due to a water line break and affects members starting at KY 126/Buffalo-Cerulean Road from the intersection at KY 128/Wallonia Road including Cerulean Road, Jack Mize Road, KY 124/Cerulean Road to Devon Drive, KY 126 out to Ed Mitchell Road, and KY 624/Cerulean-Hopkinsville Road.

Water district superintendent John Herring tells the News Edge the advisory was issued due to a water main break at Horse Creek on KY 126/Buffalo-Cerulean Road. He says about 300 to 400 members are under the Boil Water Advisory until further notice.

When an advisory is issued it’s recommended you boil water for a full three minutes before using it for human consumption.
