Grable, Trigg County Paramedic, Awarded KHA ‘HERO’ Relief

On February 2, Trigg County Hospital CEO John Sumner was contacted by the Kentucky Hospital Association — announcing its establishment of the Hospital Employee Relief Operation, or “HERO,” Fund, which was established to provide assistance to any hospital employee who sustained significant loss in the recent severe weather events.

Sumner nominated Stacey Grable, a paramedic at Trigg County Hospital, for this financial award. Grable was working the night of December 10, 2021, when a tornado moved through Dawson Springs and destroyed his home.

Grable’s wife and children were, thankfully, not harmed in the natural disaster.

On Tuesday, Sumner received notification that Grable and his family would be awarded $4,315.17 from this “HERO” Fund, which will help with the coming steps in rebuilding.
