I-24 Westbound Median Work in Trigg County Resumes Monday

Work on the Interstate 24 westbound lanes in Trigg County will resume Monday, March 27, with work expected to take about two weeks to complete.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd says this work zone lane restriction along I-24 westbound from about the 69 to 68 mile marker near the Trigg-Christian County Line is to allow maintenance work to stabilize a section of right-of-way and median that may be impacting concrete pavement slabs.

Westbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 69 mile marker. All traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane in this work zone.

Due to excavations along the median area, this work zone will remain up around the clock until the work is completed.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. Motorists should be aware of trucks hauling material into and out of the work zone. Some minor delays are possible due to the movement and positioning of equipment to facilitate the work.

This work zone lane restriction is expected to be in place for about two weeks.

There will be no impact on eastbound travel in this work zone.
