Carrie Caples To Serve As Principal Of Alternative Programming

The Christian County School District has appointed Carrie Caples as the new principal of Alternative Programming, effective with the 2026-27 school year. Caples currently serves as the principal of Bluegrass Learning Academy.

Superintendent Chris Bentzel says Caples brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in alternative education to the position and was the ideal choice with her expertise and compassion for students in alternative settings.”

Caples has had a long and distinguished career with Christian County Public Schools. She began her journey with the district as a bus monitor, bus driver, and instructional assistant while completing her post-secondary education. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Education from Murray State University, she began teaching at Morningside Elementary. Two years later, she joined Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary, where she taught until 2017, then became the school’s principal.
