Among Kentucky’s new generation of contemporary glass artists, Travis Adams has emerged as one of the Commonwealth’s most innovative sculptors. Working from his Lexington studio, Adams creates complex blown-glass sculptures that blur the boundaries between fine art, design, architecture, and natural science. His work reflects both a profound respect for the traditions of studio glass and an ambitious desire to push the medium toward new conceptual possibilities. This exhibit represents an important opportunity for audiences in western Kentucky to experience one of the Commonwealth’s leading contemporary glass artists.
