HCC To Host Martin Luther King, Jr. Event Tuesday

Hopkinsville Community College will host its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Breakfast Tuesday morning.

A release says this year’s speaker will be HCC Assistant Director/Transfer Coordinator for Student Support Services, Minister Aaron Pettus, who will cover the importance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrate the life of the icon.

HCC officials say Pettus has been with the community college for 22 years and also the Pastor of Foston Chapel Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. He is a community leader with a passion for serving and engaging with students and young people throughout the Pennyrile area. He is married to Victoria Pettus and has two sons, six grandchildren, and three godchildren.

The breakfast will begin at 8:00 in the HCC Auditorium Building Student Commons. It is free and open to the public.
