The public helped to identify a man who reportedly stole from multiple vehicles in Clarksville.
According to a Clarksville Police report, 20-year-old Jacob Herdman was charged with five counts of vehicle burglary. Herdman was arrested after police released a video from one of the burglaries, which helped them receive information from the public that led to his arrest.
The burglaries happened between February 5th and 6th on Shadowlawn Court and Ambleside Drive. Police say over $1,200 in property was taken.
Herdman was located by police in the Dover Road and Walk Road area and initially fled from police. He was later located and arrested. Herdman has a lengthy criminal history of theft, vehicle burglary, and violation of probation.
He is being held on a $55,000 bond.
