Gateway Academy Holds Ceremony to Present New Facility

Gateway Academy to Innovation and Technology is proud to unveil their new Breathitt Campus for students to further their specialized education courses.

Chief Operations Officer for Christian County Public Schools Brad Hawkins spoke with the News Edge about Gateway and their new facility. He says Gateway offers students courses in fields such as biomedical, culinary arts, and engineering. He adds Gateway serves around 700 students per school year.

Gateway Principal Penny Knight spoke at the ceremony.

He says they were looking for ways to expand because the health science programs were at capacity and classes had waiting lists.

Hawkins expressed gratitude on behalf of Gateway Academy to Murray State University and Hopkinsville Community College for their roles in allowing Gateway to continue to better serve their students.
