Trigg Hemp Facility Opens Doors To Public Friday

The public is invited to tour one of the largest hemp CBD facilities in the country Friday, which is located in Trigg County.

The Vertical Wellness’ Hemp Harvest for Humankind event will feature an all-access tour of the facility — a 14-acre property with a 90,000 square foot facility. The facility will produce over 200,000 liters of CBD, worth over $500 million in 2020.

The company’s CEO Smoke Wallin and newly-appointed CFO John Philpott will provide an in-depth discussion of the facility, the company’s plan to launch over 50 new CBD brands within the next year, and their Breast Cancer initiative. Attendees will also have access to local farmers who work at the facility, many of whom officials say are veterans who have used CBD to treat ailments like PTSD.

To honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Vertical Wellness officials say they will memorialize its first large scale hemp harvest to the betterment of humankind by giving back to cancer. They’ll be wrapping their bales of hemp in pink plastic — in excess of 15,000 bales at 2,500 pounds from this year’s harvest — and will be making a per-bale donation to causes including St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and Tahnee’s Foundation.

The tour at Vertical Wellness will be from noon until 4:00 Friday at 134 Roger Thomas Road in Cadiz.
