A Hopkinsville woman was charged Thursday after police say she made false accusations and then fled from officers while being arrested on November 6th.
Hopkinsville Police report 33-year-old Ciera Gibbs was featured as a Crime Stoppers fugitive of the week and was located on Wallace Avenue. After she was arrested, she reportedly misled police about her real identity.
Police say Gibbs also claimed to have been raped, kidnapped, kicked in the face and hit with a lamp at the home.
When Gibbs was placed in the back of the police cruiser she allegedly slipped out of her handcuffs and exited the police cruiser.
She is lodged in the Christian County Jail on charges of making a false report, second-degree escape, possession of opiates, trafficking meth, DUI, resisting arrest and theft charges.
