A Hopkinsville woman told police someone assaulted her by hitting her with a gun at her home Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say a man used a gun to hit a woman in the face and choked her before fleeing the home located on West 7th Street.
No arrest has been made but the report lists the charge as first-degree strangulation and second-degree assault.
