Man Charged After Breaking Into Hopkinsville Home

A Hopkinsville man reportedly violated an emergency protective order and broke into a North Jessup Avenue home Wednesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they received a call from someone saying send the police to the area and when they arrived they found 28-year-old Karl Bailey in the area and he had injuries from an assault.

Bailey is a respondent of an emergency protective order with a woman that lives on North Jessup Avenue.

The woman was found at the Sheriff’s Department and reportedly told police she was taking a shower when Bailey entered her home and assaulted her.

The woman had bite marks on her hand and transported herself to the hospital. Bailey is charged with first-degree burglary and violation of a Kentucky emergency protective order.
