The Pennyroyal Arts Council will host Picnic with the Pops!, a revival of a classic Hopkinsville event, to raise money to support all of its programs.
Officials say the event will occur at the Arthur Plaza on 6th Street and feature music from all genres by the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra. They add those who attend the event are encouraged to decorate their tables in New Orlean style and support downtown restaurants by placing to-go orders before the show. The party starts at 5:30, with live music to begin at 7:30.
Tickets for the event range from $75/ticket for the Royal Court VIP experience with premium seating with a table of eight and $25/ticket for throws and lawn seating in front of the Courthouse.
The event will also feature a virtual silent art auction with artwork and woodwork from local artists, Alhambra Theatre relics, experiences, and more.
