Christian County Schools Looking for Businesses for Co-Op Program

The Christian County Public Schools Fusion Work-Based Learning Program announced that 90 incoming high school seniors were approved to participate in work-based learning for the upcoming school year.

School officials added they are looking for employers interested in employing highly motivated high school seniors part-time. They said participating in Fusion not only helps the students learn the world of work in their area of concentration, but it also benefits the employers and the community.

All students are at least 17 years of age and a concentrator in at least one of the following career and technical education areas:

  • Agriculture
  • Allied Health
  • Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair
  • Biomedical Science
  • Business
  • Computer Science
  • Culinary Arts
  • Electrical Construction
  • Engineering (Aerospace, Civil, and Mechanical)
  • Family and Consumer Services
  • Graphic Design
  • IMT-Maintenance Machinist
  • Pre-Nursing
  • Welding

If your business wants to be added to the Fusion Cooperative Education (Co-op) List, the district asks you to complete the Fusion Cooperative Education Employer Interest Survey. The information collected from the survey will be added to a list of potential co-op employers that will be shared with co-op applicants.
